LIMA beings is a membership community led by co-founders Kathy Sdao, Dr. Chris Pachel, Lynn Ungar, and Barrie Finger. We hold bi-monthly discussions that explore the intersection of animal training and behavior support with insights from various wisdom traditions and scientific disciplines. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment where members can engage in thoughtful conversations about the complexities, evolving and often heart-breaking challenges we all face. We aim to foster a supportive space for continuous learning and growth, recognizing that everyone—whether ourselves, our dogs, our loved ones, our clients, colleagues, or neighbors—will at times inevitably fall short of our highest aspirations. How we behave and treat others during challenging times, while striving to uphold our aspirations and ethical standards, requires honest self-reflection and consistent practice. LIMA beings offers a unique space to learn, grow, connect, and practice these principles.
